Cedar Waxwings!

My very first Cedar Waxwings! At first I only saw one, while I was out running, but I came back later with my camera and found him again and the entire flock he belonged to. They seemed very tolerant of me and let me get nice and close.

  1. they were the very first birds i ever looked up in a bird book, in 1979. there were hundreds in the chinaberry trees behind our apartment, and they were pretty, and i wanted to know what they were.

  2. I had never seen any before that day, and then I saw two flocks in different parts of town on the same day!
